Huawei Maextro

Guys, good afternoon. Today they give it to me for 2 hours. I test it myself for an hour and a half, then turn on the camera and give it a dry squeeze. I will test both in the front and in the back seat. Let's go. This is the last car I will compare to the BMW 7 Series. And its pre-orders already amount to more than 6,000 cars. In China, that's the equivalent of a year's sales of the BMW 7 Series. And this already speaks of the unequivocal success of this model. The Maextro body was made even stronger than the HVM9. Torsional rigidity 53,000 Nm rewardus. For comparison, the Rolls Phantom has 40,000.

It is much easier and cheaper to make the body of an electric car rigid than in a car with an internal combustion engine. This is another bonus of electric cars. The electric car does not have a tunnel for the cardan shaft, because the rear wheels are pulled by the rear electric motor, and the front wheels are pulled by the front electric motor. The battery lies in the hollow length and acts as a rigid power plate on its own. All that remains is to add money and the issue is resolved. Here they actually spent a lot of money and used steel with a strength of 2,000 MPa. And this, like the Huawei M9, is submarine level. Well, now the main thing. Before the release of Maextro, there were some rumors, while warming up the hype, that Huawei would create a car cooler than the entire German F-class. And we have the following. Partly it is impossible to find fault with these words, because in fact, in the matter of a smart cabin, interior trim, new technologies inside the car, they all hopelessly lost to it. And even if we take into account that in this particular class the interior is almost the most important parameter when buying a car, it is still not furniture, it is a car. And here I have some complaints, let's go in order. How Maextro drives. There is no trendy active suspension here, like in the NIO ET9 and YangWang U7.

It's just a complex multi-link system with double air suspension. I came for a test drive in the BMW 7 series, and this is what I feel. Maextro doesn't ride like Mybach. It drives almost exactly like the 7th series. Very similar cars in terms of handling and comfort. And you mean, not the M7, not the M70, but the regular BMW7. M70 will be both tougher and sharper. Now let's move on. We have a hybrid on a test drive. Two electric motors, 530 horsepower, 4.9 to 100. Rear wheels steer 12°. The turning angle of this car is better than that of the BMW7. I turn the steering wheel completely to the left. That's it, stop. Let's go. That's it, maximum. The version with three electric motors has better rear wheel steering, by 16°. Accordingly, it turns even better. In addition, it can ride like crabs on the snow, which promises to give the best grip. This version has an electric motor on each rear wheel, it is heavier, accelerates at 4.7 and in all hybrids the 1.5 DVS has the same 170 horsepower turbine, which has no connection with the wheels. Now let's move on. My main complaint is about the noise insulation in the front. Unfortunately, we don't have a device today, but it's noisier in the front row here than in the BMW7. I'm only talking about the first row of seats because the back is quieter. How much noisier is the front? Well, roughly like in ZР 001. That is, in this car, the owner rides in the back, he doesn’t care what’s in the front?

And here I have a question for the platform itself. The car weighs 2,800 kilograms due to the battery. From this I conclude that they were struggling hard to gain weight. And, most importantly, balance across the axes. The first row was deprived so as not to spoil the dynamics, control and energy efficiency. It's easier in pure electric cars. There is no internal combustion engine with all its guts in front, so NIT9 was made very quiet everywhere. Listen, it's quieter in the back than in the front. From behind, I would say, well, like in the BMW7. Something like this. And it's noisier in front. Look, we don't have the most expensive version here. This is a five-seater, not a four-seater. We don’t have a web projector in the center here, we don’t have these protective arches that slightly separate the first and second rows. And the wood here is not varnished. Everything else, yes, leather everywhere, completely everywhere at the bottom of the pillar. All. Episode BMW7. The materials are poorer.

And in terms of equipment and electronics. Maextro is on a completely different level. Its smart cabin and all the software – they just flew away to another planet. All these gestures, when the windows darken, open, close the doors from the outside, you can just approach when you are pressed from the left, from the right. You, like in Lixyan, in M9, as, in principle, in the BMW7, you do not pull the car with a button on your smartphone. You simply pull it towards you with gestures. In this regard, of course, the Chinese have reached an unattainable level in their most expensive cars. Plus, this is a full-length canvas. This is a great screen, no questions asked. Remember when it came out there was a wow effect, but the canvas is cooler. Firstly, it is at full height. Secondly, it has the same clear picture as a good screen when you close the screens and find yourself in the dark.

Plus, this fabric separates the driver and the rear passenger. He doesn't see what's going on here. it's just a natural partition. Besides this, you can also press a button and it will have a distorted sound. He won't hear what's going on here through the speakers. More precisely, he will hear sound, but will not understand speech. In general, these are just cars of different classes, although they cost the same. And here, in terms of equipment and interior trim, this is the level of Avatar 1.2. What else is important to understand?

This screen is big, the picture is great, no question, but it is too close for the eyes. If the driver is small and does not recline the seat back, yes, it can be pulled further, but I would still like it to be even further. Well, in principle, you can watch it. If the driver is at least 175 cm tall or taller, that's it, it's too unpleasant to look at him closely. The extra wheelbase is 15 cm longer and there is more space in the rear. And the canvas is further from the eyes. Well, the canvas is not as harmful to the eyes as the screen. In total it is configured as a BMW7.

The price is the same as the BMW7. It turns better, and is much more interesting inside. The body is significantly stronger, but the noise insulation at the front is weaker. I don't know how it handles at high speed. Perhaps the BMW7 will hold up better. Judging by the sales of the M9, in the eyes of the Chinese, Huawei's status is higher than BMW's. Okay, friends, that's all. I say goodbye to you. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Until next time.
