Guys, good day. A couple of years ago we filmed the Neo ET5 sedan. After some time, they released an additional modification in the liftback body, adding the letter T. I did not want to film it then, because technically it is no different from the sedan. However, the market responded better to it. Sales are almost twice as much as those of the sedan. Neo sells expensive cars. ET 5 is considered the most budget in the entire line. However, for the maximum configuration of these cars they ask as much as for the Li 9 in the maximum configuration. At the same time, their overall sales are higher than for the Li 9. I decided to take a review of the liftback, because they released a restyling for these cars.

Brew yourself something useful. Let's review. We are on a serpentine. They promised me better handling here. I don't remember how it was in the ET 5. I remember that I really liked it then. And I really like it here too. After the BMW 7, I'm just in heaven. I don't need this soft, wadded suspension. That's it. I like cars like this. Technically, the suspension is still the same. Five levers in the front, five in the back. That's very strong. And they added CDC technology, they added adaptive shock absorbers. In the settings, I can make it softer, harder. Right now, everything is maximally compressed. Maybe later, when I like cars like this, when I'm over 60, I'll just want to sit on the couch. But now I don't want that, and I'm just repeating it in heaven.

Honestly, I don't remember, they just don't let you test drive the previous ET 5. I don't remember what it was like anymore. I just remember that I really liked it. But here I can't say that it's gotten better or worse. I just really like the way it drives. That's all. It's tight. It's not a soft suspension, not a couch suspension, a little softer than the Tesla 3 and quieter than the Tesla 3. The noise insulation has definitely improved. If the new troika and the new Model Y, here were the traffic police, they passed very well, but they were not very and not very high. The Model Y and Model 3 have better noise insulation, but on a thin one here a little more than on a thin one, but this is also not a very quiet car, but it has improved.

For this price, they should have learned to hide them, like Lotus. Remember, when you press the autopilot button, they either go out or hide. For this price, I think they should have done this.

And this mechanism, I am sure, especially in China, is not expensive to produce. Cars are expensive. And now a small sedan is sold as a li 9. It is a classmate of the BMW three, but costs more at the top than the top five 530 after these huge discounts. They should do this, I think. In general, without them today is definitely impossible. They improved the soundproofing. Double glazing appeared in this car. Here they wrote Dolby Atmos, 21 speakers, 1,000 W. Materials in Nio are always expensive, in all models. Even in the ITP, everything is good. And here, everything is good. True, they saved specifically in this model. There is no bare plastic inside. I stretched the seat to the maximum. Long seat cushion. I can lift it quite well, as I like. I have two more fingers in front of the screen.

This button on the steering wheel gives me different information. Catch the focus. This screen is very cool. I love the black theme, so I installed it right away. Everything will be very serious. Now NIO has brought its central screen to the level of the absolute top on the planet. This is the level of Tesla, Lixyan and similar cars. So, here it is clear. A very cool picture. I am interested in the climate. Yes, I can change it with my finger. With three, like in BYD, I can not. Oh, well, I want this mold with two. In NIO's place, I would definitely roll out some model that would be at least the same price as the German three, cheaper, for example, an I5 or a smaller Nio ET3 sedan, even smaller and simpler. And the trim is simpler, and there are fewer horses, and the acceleration is lower, well, it’s just simpler in order to make money. But give NE controllability, give software, give these lidars, give everything, everything so that everything is at the highest level, so that it is very pleasant to drive. But so that it is not so fast. And the main thing in terms of interior trim is to save money on this. Look at Lip Motor, at X Pen with its Mono model. Leapmotor also released a couple of inexpensive models. And that’s it, sales soared. The same should be done now by Hi-Fi after it recovers. The market for expensive cars is very small. Very small. Today the price tag of this car is for rich people in China. They are 1% of the population, as in general, in principle, in any country. 1%. And they need to create a model not for the budget, but at least for the average price tag. At least something for 220-230,000. That’s it. Yuan 210 is desirable. You can get 255x40 for an extra charge, but I wouldn’t take it. It’s pleasantly tight on these wheels. On a 40th-size profile, it probably won’t be so pleasantly tight. Its handling is already excellent even on these wheels. I don’t think it needs more. So, let’s quickly. It’s comfortable to sit on. There’s enough lateral support, but it can’t be adjusted. The recuperation is strong, there are no issues with the brakes. The handling is excellent, but I don’t know how it is at 200 km/h. I’ve only heard that the Ni has no problems with this. The 100 kWh lithium rollback battery promises 710 km on the CTC cycle. But what about the price now? The ET5 is an expensive car. It costs more than the Tesla 3 Performance and much more than the BMW 330 3, which is sold in China with huge discounts due to the decline in interest in German cars.

Now the main question: are these 5 worth their money? And here I can’t give a short yes or no answer, because it all depends on what we compare it with. In comparison with Tesla, of course, it is worth it. It has better noise insulation, more expensive trim, much richer equipment. In comparison with BMW, the noise insulation is also about the same, but the 3 has the same trim as the Geely, and the equipment is also poorer than the Neo. And if in comparison with the Geely we can say that the BMW is better to drive and has a more informative steering wheel, then in comparison with the NiO, the BMW does not have such bonuses. Why then can’t I give a short yes? Because in comparison with Chinese cars, everything is not so clear. Zeekr 007 is much cheaper, accelerates faster, but it has a worse autopilot and cheaper suspension setup. Yes, friends, in 2025, you need to always keep in mind such a concept as autopilot. Huawei LAN Neo in its restylings, as we have noticed, did not give more horses. They spent money on autopilots, that is, on more powerful chips, lidars, new software. And this is expensive. Then there is SU7. Just a monster. Exploded the market. The best-selling car in China in the segment from 35,000 dollars and above. And here the questions begin. Yes, Xiaomi has a weaker autopilot and equipment for it, but in all other respects it spoils the picture for Neo ET5. The S7 Max version is much cheaper.The equipment is the same, the noise insulation is the same, the interior trim is cheaper, but there is air, and the car accelerates much more fun. The Ultra version, which is only $15,000 more expensive. This is the devil. The day before yesterday, they announced that the serial Xiaomi has already set a new Nurbrückring record. It has overtaken the Taycan and become both the fastest electric car and the fastest four-door serial car in the history of NBGH, which, in my opinion, is not enough ITP for its price. Let's leave out the air suspension and more horses, since many want a better autopilot. But the bottom of the door cards should be sewn up with a nightmare. The lidar should be able to hide. There is not enough active spoiler in the back. The front seats should have adjustable lateral support. The back of the rear sofa should be adjustable with a button.
